There's such joy and stress in juggling the balance between Varian's self-hatred, his frustration with Rapunzel, and his trauma responses caused by Andrew's abuse.

I wanna make sure his voice remains in character while also throwing him ruthlessly into a blender.

This rewrite is really getting away from me. It was supposed to end up around the same length as the first draft but it's likely going to end up double the initial length instead. However, I'm also in love with how it's coming along.
